Lichtenberg's highly individualistic style, a delicate blend of realism and impression, has won him critical acclaim not only in the United States but Europe as well. Born in New York City, 1920, he received his formal training at the Art Students League in New York and the Acadamie de la grand Chaumiere in Paris. He has been honored with numerous awards including the Gold Medal of Honor of the Allied Artists of America. He was awarded the Silver medal in the International Prix Maurice Utrillo in Paris, as well as the Bronze Medal of the Prix Othon Friesz. Manes Lichtenberg depicts life with serenity and quiet dignity. He has rightfully earned the recognition as a contemporary impressionist through his brilliant drawing skills, color, composition and sense of light. The artist captures the beauty of life. He divides his time between Paris and Florida.
